In the share a horse program you will have a chance to experience owning your own horse without the long term commitment. Riders may choose horses according to their level. Check out the horse page to see which horses you are qualified to “share.” During your time in SHP you will be given opportunities to feed, train, groom, and ride your horse. Owning a horse can be a big responsibility and you will be asked to help with some of the many chores that it takes to have a horse.
Participants will be supervised by a CHA certified instructor, who will be there to retrieve horses from the pasture and provide occasional assistance. This program is open to all ages. Horse choice is first come, first serve. For more info call or email us. |

IRD or Instruction for Riders with Disabilities is a program that is designed to encourage people with disabilities to be around the horses. The natural movement of a horse helps relax and stretch the riders muscles while giving them the confidence that comes with being in charge of a thousand pound animal.
