Horsemanship Academy is currently full for the 2022/2023 Season
One of our most popular programs, Horsemanship Academy is a two-year program for students aged 12-17
Developed for those who are very serious about building their knowledge as an equestrian or in owning a horse. Classes are 2.5 hours twice a week for our 8-week semesters and students progress quickly with so much time spent growing in their riding and knowledge.
We cover topics like English & Western riding, tack and equipment, training & groundwork, basic health care, feeding & nutrition, as well as purchasing and caring for your first horse.

Program Structure
There are two stages of class per year, starting in the fall with openings based on availability. Stages A & B are the first winter, Stages C & D the second winter with graduation in the spring for those that completed and passed all four stages. We use material and curriculum from CHA’s four levels, and students will typically have passed their CHA Level 1 test as a rider the first winter, and passed Level 2 by graduation. Students will be graded in both riding/training concepts as well as classroom assignments and attendance to pass Academy.
