Our Story

Camp Li-Wa is one of two camps operated by Victory Ministries of Alaska.

Camp Li-Wa, which stands for Living Water, is located just outside of Fairbanks. Li-Wa was started in 1959 and was operated as part of the Denali Bible Church in Fairbanks for 25 years, mainly as a summer camp. Wycliffe also had a missionary camp here. Camp Li-Wa was then turned over to InterAct Ministries (Victory’s parent organization) and then to Victory Ministries of Alaska.

From overnight and day camps, to outdoor adventure camps that explore interior Alaska, to CHA certified horsemanship camps, we offer programs for ages 5 through high school.  If you are interested in intentional training and discipleship, check out our Servant and Leadership Training (SALT)  program for those 14-18. Additionally, we offer various counselor, leadership, and support positions in our summer programming as well. In the fall and spring, our heated arena is the ideal location for horse riding lessons for ages 9 and up.

If your church or organization desires to hold a retreat or conference, our facilities are available for guest groups from August through May. Camp Li-Wa is the perfect location to seek rest as you draw closer to God through His Word and enjoy His beautiful creation.

Also, don’t forget to check out our sister camp, Victory Bible Camp located 95 miles northeast from Anchorage.
