REGISTRATION
To register for camp, you will click the register button on the website to be directed to Campwise. You will be required to set up a profile for each of your campers if you have not done so in the past. If you have previously registered your child, you will be able to log in to their pre-existing profile to view the dates/camps they are eligible for the coming summer. Registration requires a non-refundable $50 deposit. The remaining balance should be paid no later than two weeks prior to the camp session. During the registration process you will have the option to add money to your snack shop account (this is easier to do at the time of registration). While registering, health forms will need to be completed. Additionally, you will create a 4 digit pin for pick up.
COSTS AND REFUNDS – A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to register; this will secure your child’s spot for camp. Your camper is not registered until the deposit has been made. If your child is not able to attend camp, you may receive a refund, minus the deposit.
CABIN MATE REQUESTS – During registration you may request up to 2 cabin mates for your camper. Please do so at least a week prior to when when your child’s camp session starts. We will do our best to honor your request if it is logistically possible.
SPENDING MONEY – Campers visit the Snack Shop as a cabin group every day while they are at camp. Money for their store account can be paid in advance online when you register or anytime before, or even during camp. At the end of camp, a remaining balance of $5 or more will be refunded to the credit card listed on the child’s Campwise registration profile.
PHOTOGRAPHS – Many pictures of campers are taken throughout the week. It is our assumption that most parents love to see their children in camp brochures or on the website. If you do not wish your child’s picture to be taken, be sure to email our office at info@campliwa.org
AUTHORIZATIONS – Only authorized persons who know the camper’s 4 digit pickup code may be permitted to pick them up at check-out. If you need a reminder, you may find this form (pick up authorization) in your child’s forms on the Campwise dashboard.
CHECK-IN
CHECK IN – Check-in begins at 8:30am on Monday. At drop off, come to the registration set up in the play field (or the barn in case of rain) to meet a staff member who will check in your camper and then send them to meet their counselor. The camp nurse is available, if needed, to discuss allergies or prescription medications. If you pre-ordered a sweatshirt, those will be available for pickup at registration. Every camper will receive a camp t-shirt which will be distributed during the week.
DAY CAMP – Tuesday- Friday, drop off (8:30am) is done exactly as pickup. Please follow the flow of traffic and our staff will greet you at your car to check in your camper.
PICK UP
PICK UP- is at 5:00pm on the last day of your camper’s session. Please be prepared to give our staff the 4 digit pin code you created in Campwise when you registered your camper. Pickup is similar to a school pickup line. Please follow the flow of traffic and wait in your car for your camper to be brought to you.
VISITATION & EARLY PICKUP
Camp Li-Wa encourages you to allow your camper to immerse themselves fully in their camp experience. Interrupting their stay can have negative effects such as, creating home sickness where there was none as well as causing a disruption to the program. We take the safety of your camper and the other campers very seriously. For this reason, and because visitors have not gone through our screening process and background checks, visits from family members are strongly discouraged.
Early pickups for other activities such as sports or doctor’s appointments are also strongly discouraged due to the busyness of our program.
HEALTH & MEDICAL
Camp Li-Wa follows similar guidelines to what a public school would follow. If your camper has recently been sick, they must be symptom free, without medication for 24 hours before coming to camp.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION — If your camper needs to take medications at camp you must turn them in at check-in to the camp nurse. All prescription medications must be in a pharmacy labeled container with the camper’s name on it and will be dispensed per the instructions on the bottle. Loose pills will not be accepted.
